popcorn-ornamentThere seems to be a lot of holiday-themed arts and craft workshops going on around town, so I thought I’d gather the info and pass it along. If the holiday stress is getting to you, it might be time for a creative outlet. Get creative and release the stress! You might even end up with a holiday gift for someone. Two birds with one stone, right? Here’s the scoop:

Greeting Card Making Workshop

When: Sunday, December 6th – 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm

Price: $30 (includes materials)

Location: 517 Wapello Street, Altadena.

The Greeting Card Making Workshop will take place at the home and studio of artist Karen Bagnard (www.morethanmermaids.com). Make as many cards as you like! Bring your imagination and a sense of play. Reserve your space now (626-798-9307) or just show up.

Thanks to Altadena Blog for the info!

Creative Souls Holiday Ornament Workshop

When: Saturday, December 12th – 10:30 am to 12:30 pm.

Price: $30 (includes materials)

Location: Heart & Soul Healing Arts Center (1167 North Lake Avenue, Pasadena). 626-798-8337

You will create several holiday ornaments to decorate your home or give as gifts. In addition, you will be able to cut out gift tags using “The Revolution” machine. (Last year this was a very popular activity.) Artist Heather Morrow will guide you to create works of art inspired by your own vision. Each participant will be provided with the supplies to create and decorate their ornament. You are welcome to bring any objects or embellishments to add to your work (or share). Facilitated by artist Heather Morrow. Reservations encouraged to ensure enough materials. It is recommended to bring old holiday cards you wish to recycle. They make great ornaments and gift tags! Gift Box Project for Teens

Price: Empty pint-sized milk carton

Location: Altadena Library (600 East Mariposa Street, Altadena)

Teens ages 12 – 17 are invited to come down to the library and transform an empty pint-sized milk carton into a beautiful gift box—perfect for a holiday gift or keepsake box. The teen program will meet in the Community Room of the library, and is limited to 25 participants. This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Altadena Library and facilitated by Reiyuki America.
